@dandenneyWe made the decision to expand our team and add another full time UX Developer. We needed someone with excellent skills, the ability to communicate effectively and who would have passion for our work and for being a part of our team. We needed to expand quickly to meet project demands, but wanted to take our time to ensure the addition would strengthen the team and be a good fit for our culture.
There is some fantastic talent out there (and we are honored that so many wanted to be a part of our team), but halfway through the process, we received an application that was both shocking and crazy exciting. Perhaps someday Dan will share his un-resume with you all, but it completely knocked our socks off. The timing for him and for us was mind-blowing. We already had a relationship with him, both a personal one and a working one, so after receiving his application and interviewing him in Campfire for an hour, we extended an offer for him to join our team. To our delight, he has accepted, and Dan Denney is now our newest full time member.
We believe Dan will help us continue to provide top quality work using the latest patterns and technologies on the front end. His work ethic and dedication to his craft is exceptional, and we already know he's a lot of fun to have around. So please join us in congratulating Dan on his new adventure, and congratulate us too, because we are truly fortunate to have him join us.
Excited for what's ahead,
The Team at Gauged2
We started out 5 years ago with big dreams of staying small (team-size, that is). We value the quality of our work and invite friendly-types for our team. We've worked with awesome names that we all know and love, but also get on board with dreams of startups. Heck, we even have some startups of our own.
Gauged2 is growing and we're looking for a full-time senior-level UX Developer to join our small but amazing team. We want someone who does what they do, not only for the money (don't worry we like money too), but because they love it like we do. We aren't just looking for a developer to quickly turn Photoshop files into HTML and CSS, but someone with a burning passion to ensure user's get a rich online experience using the latest best practices. Our goal is to provide a consistent user experience whether the user is on the latest version of Chrome, using a mobile phone or tablet, or stuck in the dark ages with a certain browser notorious for waking a front end developer in the middle of the night in cold sweats.
Are you ready to tackle those browser challenges, keep up with the latest in UX technologies, work with some amazing brands and on some challenging applications? Are you prepared to work with a team of wacky dudes who think it's possible to love your job and still have crazy fun at the same time? Do you want to be the next piece of our growing puzzle and help this team stay awesome and continue to impress our clients with not only our skill, but our communication and passion? If so, then apply right away!
In addition to a competitive salary, you will receive an allowance for your Starbucks and iTunes addictions, paid vacation, holidays, weekly company lunches, company outings and a chance to learn and teach alongside passionate co-workers who want to see you succeed. And, ah hem, you won't get in trouble for posting on Dribbble or sharing your adventures with us via Twitter. Throw in a fridge stocked with soda, h2o and adult beverages, and we think it's almost too good to be true!
And although we'd love to see your smiling mug at the Tampa office, commuting is not required. This is a full-time position and we're looking for someone who can start immediately.
